Police Commissioner was right about enforcing quality of life ordinances. But then he got involved in advocating other ordinances where there is no victim.

People still complain that they are unable to get the police to enforce the noise ordinance |

When it is enforced it is often done so begrudgingly |

The underlying thought resulting in passage of the marijuana referendum is that people want to be protected from real crime by real criminals so now police have no excuse to be “busy” with marijuana arrests.
I would cut down on our “unelected legislators.” The job of the police is to protect people and their property. If they do not like the laws they can call the legislature on their own time like the rest of us.
I would also demand that the state take more responsibility for law enforcement. Remember, our legislative delegation likes to pass laws and leave it to others to figure out how to enforce them. This will give them an opportunity to excel.

Funding the Revolving Door |

We must end the revolving door system of justice. The System is filled with victimless crime so that real crime goes unsolved. It is merely another way to fund a useless system of patronage.
It is time to start blaming the legislature for the crime problem, which they did create. But the Rebublicrats who are no sitting on the City Council will never do that.
